Little cowpony is up there! - not been the easiest thing to do taking a 14 year old western pony into a completely different discipline within a year I have to say, but its been great fun and a fab year and so far we're 3rd place Nationally!!!! Last competition coming up in a couple of weeks - wish us luck peeps!😬😬

National Championship points tables.

I've decided that I'm going to have random obstacles all over our yard and so this afternoon I made a bridge out of pallets and floor boards, after nearly giving myself a hernia trying to move it I had to cut it in half.

It's not quite finished yet but I thought we could test it, as you can see the girls look thrilled by the whole process.

Just had the most awesome lesson with Mrs B and this lovely girl to date. I’ve done a ton of canter work lately and so far Grace seems to be sat there saying bring it on mum.

Ah the lovely Grace - had a fabulous ride on her today.

Canter work is getting more consistent, although we shot of sideways at warp speed when a cheeky little partridge tried to take us out and flew around the arena for a while, but we managed to stay together :D :D

We're all set for a weekend of Masterson method treatments as well as lessons. Now we just need the weather to hold up please!

Massive thank yous to Jean Whitebread for delivering a totally mind-blowing Holistic Horseworks level 3 course! Everyone - people and horses experienced some huge changes, it was truly fabulous, a bit mind numbing actually! Thank you so much Jean and well done to us all who received our level 3 certificates. I'm looking forward to arranging dates with Jean to re-run this course again for next year - only I will be able to sit back and watch from the outside next time!

Me and this little pony have done some pretty amazing things in the past year, he's had a total makeover from fat to very fit, a massive career change from western horse to working equitation horse and manages to swap between the two regularly, he's taken me through some tough competitions against horses who have been competing a lot longer than him in working equitation and we've come pretty high up in the rankings.
